Beer Braised Onions And Sausages
Serves 4-6
Ingredients:
- 12 Renown cocktail pork sausages, frozen
- 12 Enterprise cocktail sausages
- 2 onions, sliced
- 330ml stout
- 2 Tbs balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp flour
- 2 sprigs thyme
- 1 garlic clove, crushed
- 4-6 rashers Enterprise streaky bacon, chopped
Method:
- Brown the pork sausages from frozen in a little olive oil in a pan.
- Add the cocktail sausages and sauté until browned.
- Add the onion and cook until soft then add the bacon and garlic.
- Stir in the flour, pour the dark beer and vinegar over and let it simmer to thicken.
- Add the thyme, cover and bake for 15 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
