Beer Braised Onions And Sausages

Serves 4-6

Ingredients: 

  • 12 Renown cocktail pork sausages, frozen
  • 12 Enterprise cocktail sausages
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 330ml stout
  • 2 Tbs balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tsp flour
  • 2 sprigs thyme
  • 1 garlic clove, crushed
  • 4-6 rashers Enterprise streaky bacon, chopped

 Method:

  1. Brown the pork sausages from frozen in a little olive oil in a pan.
  2. Add the cocktail sausages and sauté until browned.
  3. Add the onion and cook until soft then add the bacon and garlic.
  4. Stir in the flour, pour the dark beer and vinegar over and let it simmer to thicken.
  5. Add the thyme, cover and bake for 15 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes.
