Beer and Sausage Stroganoff
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 300g pork shoulder, in strips
- 300g Enterprise Russian sausages, sliced
- 200g Enterprise streaky bacon, cubed
- 1 onion, chopped
- 250g mushrooms, halved
- Salt and black pepper
- 1 cup beer
- 2 Tbs corn flour
- ½ cup sour cream
- 2Tbs Dijon mustard
- Zest of 1 lemon
- Flat egg noodles, cooked, to serve
- Chopped fresh dill, to garnish
Method:
- Toss the pork, sausages and bacon in salt and pepper to season.
- Brown in a saucepan with a little oil until golden.
- Add the onion and mushroom and sauté until soft. Add the beer and reduce until almost reduced. Remove from the heat.
- Mix the corn flour with a little water and stir into the stew with the sour cream, mustard and lemon.
- Season to taste and serve on the noodles sprinkled with dill.
