Chocolate Fondants
Makes 6
Ingredients:
- 100g dark chocolate
- 100g butter
- 3 eggs
- 85g Selati Castor Snow
- 100g Sasko Cake flour
- 2 Tbs cocoa powder
- Pinch salt
Method:
- Melt the chocolate and butter gently over Bain Marie.
- Whip the sugar and eggs until triple in size.
- Sieve the flour, cocoa and salt together.
- Fold the chocolate mix and the dry ingredients into the eggs alternately.
- Grease and cocoa powder 6 dariole moulds.
- Fill greased dariole moulds with the fondant mixture and allow to rest in the fridge until ready to bake.
- Bake at 180°C for 10 - 11 minutes.
- Loosen the edges of the fondant from the mould to release then serve turned out on a plate.
- Serve with vanilla ice cream.
Tip: This can also be baked and served in ramekins.
