Seaside Chocolate Rice Krispies Treats
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbs margarine
- 35 white marshmallows
- 100g milk chocolate, broken into pieces
- 300ml Rice Krispies
- Blue cupcake wrappers
- Seaside-themed jelly sweets, to decorate
Method:
- Microwave the margarine in a large bowl for 1 minute or in a saucepan over low heat until melted.
- Add the marshmallows and chocolate and heat again until melted.
- Add the Rice Krispies and mix well.
- Drop mounds of the mixture onto a lined baking tray or into the blue cupcake wrappers. Decorate with the jelly sweets so the Rice Krispies treats form the rock on which the animals are sitting.
Seashell Cupcakes with Rice Krispies
Ingredients:
- 12 vanilla cupcakes
- Vanilla frosting
- 2 cups Rice Krispies crushed
- 12 chocolate sea shells
- 12 chocolate balls or sweets
Method:
- Frost each cupcake with vanilla frosting.
- Dip each cupcake into the crushed Rice Krispies to form the ‘sand’.
- Insert a chocolate sea shell and ball onto each cupcake so that it looks like an oyster and pearl.
Rice Krispies Seashore Cake
Ingredients:
- 2 Tbs margarine
- 35 white marshmallows
- 300ml Kellogg’s Rice Krispies
- 200g white chocolate, melted plus extra
- Powdered blue food colouring
- Variety of sea animal sweets
Method:
- Microwave the margarine in a large bowl for 1 minute. Add the marshmallows and microwave for a further 3 minutes. Add the Rice Krispies and mix well. Press into a lined baking sheet and press to flatten. Melt the chocolate and stir in the blue colouring. Cat half the Rice Krispies block with the melted chocolate, for the sea, swirling it to create texture. Before the chocolate sets, position the fish and other creatures in the sea.
- Melt the extra white chocolate and use to stick in the other creatures that belong on the beach.
