Shisa Nyama – Expresso style
Serves 4
Ingredients:
- 4 lamb leg chops
- 4 chicken drumsticks
- 400g Boerewors
- Ground black pepper
- 2 Tbs sunflower oil
To serve:
Method:
- Place the lamb chops and chicken into two separate bowls then season both with BBQ spice and black pepper then drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat all the pieces.
- Cook the meat on medium coals on the braai.
- Place the boerewors, as is, on the braai – do not pierce it, the end product will be juicier.
- Serve the braaied meats with pap and chakalaka on the side – no cutlery necessary!
Tip: Shisa Nyama is a shared dish, serve everything on one platter and encourage everyone to eat from the same platter.
