Kings and Queens Comedy to Rock Cape Town!
Rare opportunity to see 10 of South Africa’s top comedians in action on one stage for one night only
Barry Hilton, Darren “Whackhead” Simpson, Chris Forest, Soli Philander, Robbie Collins, Trevor Gumbi, Joey Rasdien, Mel Jones, Angel Campey and Anne Hirsch: The Kings And Queens of Comedy are coming to Cape Town for one night only on Saturday 6 October at the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
Following a sell-out show in Johannesburg The Kings And Queens of Comedy pits South Africa’s top comedians on one stage out-funnying each other - not quite the battle of the sexes, but certainly the battle of the wits.
The Kings of Comedy is headlined by Barry Hilton, who was last seen in the Mother City in sell out shows two years ago. Also in his camp is breakfast radio prankster Darren Whackhead Simpson from Highveld 94.7, the ever so dry Chris Forrest, Comedic Rock Star Trevor Gumbi and Cape Town heavyweight Soli Philander and MC Joey Rasdien.
In the Queens corner is the incredible funny Mel Jones , Cape Town’s Angel Campey – “Acts like a Lady, thinks like a Man. Lover of irony, wit and sugary treats. (That's Irony not ironing) Has creased clothes – and the idiosyncratic fellow Capetonian Anne Hirsch. The trio presents a rare opportunity to see the funniest female comedians on one stage.
There are two performances of the Kings and Queens of comedy on Saturday 6th October – matinee at 4pm and then again at 8pm.
