Skydive for Rhinos:
Since July an unstoppable band of skydivers have been going around the country giving ordinary people an extraordinary way to raise funds for rhino protection. Average Joes and celebrities have pitched in to make the goal of 448 tandem skydives (the number of SA Rhinos poached in 2011) a reality, each person raising over R5000 for the African Conservation Trust.
In the spirit of World Rhino Day, this weekend (Today till Sunday) the campaign ends with a bang at Robertson Skydive Centre, near Cape Town. The organisers have plenty of fun install and there’s even rumour of a naked skydive, but we can be sure to see some of our ministers and celebs punching clouds.
This is your chance to go join them, fight the battle, and have a great time doing it! Visit skydive4rhinos.org now
Even if you’re not planning to do a tandem jump, take your family and witness the action.
With your help, this campaign will raise R10million and 100% of funds will go right to the front-line of the rhino poaching crisis and support the brave men and women who are working against the clock to protect the rhinos in their care from a poacher’s bullet. It will also fund proactive efforts such as aerial surveillance, training, education and job creation.
