GOURMET SOSATIES WITH TOMATO MARINADE

INGREDIENTS:

700g Rump steak
2 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/2 Cup water
1 Tsp fresh ginger, grated
2 Cloves of garlic, crushed
1 Tsp curry powder
1/2 Tsp freshly ground black pepper

HOW TO MAKE THE SOSATIES:

Cut steak (along the grain!) into 2cm cubes.
Combine the rest of the ingredients in a mixing bowl and whisk.
Add steak, cover and place in the refrigerator for a few hours.
Thread steak cubes onto bamboo skewers and cover.
Make sure the meat is at room temperature before grilling.
