Clover Fruits of the Forest Stewed Fruit Pop Tarts
A new twist to your breakfast routine!
Time: 25 minutes
1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
1 apple, chopped
1 pear, chopped
1 tsp corn flour
2 tbsp brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp apricot jam
Eggwash for brushing
1 cup Fruits of the Forest, Stewed fruit flavor
½ cup icing sugar
Preheat the oven to 180C
In a small saucepan, combine the fruit and sprinkle over the sugar and cinnamon. Add a dash of water and allow to cook until the fruit softens.
Mix in the corn flour and combine with the apricot jam.
Cut the pastry into squares, place a dollop of filling in the centre of 1 square and top with another. Brush with eggwash and bake in the oven for 20-25. Combine the Fruits of the Forest with icing sugar. Once the pop tarts have cooled, drizzle over the Fruits of the forest glaze and allow to set.
Chefs Tip: You can use a different Fruits of the Forest flavour and different fruit!
