Festive Meat Platter with Garlic Butter Pap

If loadshedding is getting to you, then light the fire and make this festive meat platter with pap smothered in garlic butter.

Ingredients:

Pap bread
2 cups ACE Quick Cook Maize Meal
4 cups water
1 t salt
Garlic Butter, melt together
3 garlic cloves, grated
4 T butter
8 lamb chops
5 sprigs fresh rosemary, finely chopped
juice of one lemon
salt and pepper to taste spice
8 wings
Sweet Chilli sauce of your choice
salt and pepper to taste
Marinated rack of ribs of your choice


How To Make 

  1. Bring water to boil. Add salt and the ACE Quick Cook Maize Meal.
  2. Mix with fork to avoid lumps.
  3. Once blended mix with a strong spoon.
  4. Turn heat down to medium and cook with lid on for 10 minutes until desired texture is reached, stirring occasionally.
  5. When serving the pap, scoop the pap into a the plate and smother it in garlic butter.
  6. Marinade the chops for an hour in the rosemary and lemon juice.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and braai over hot coals till done to your preference.
  8. Braai the wings for 20 minutes over medium-to-hot coals until they become crisp and are almost ready.
  9. Brush them with the sweet chilli sauce while you are braaing them.
  10. Season with salt and pepper and serve with extra sauce.
  11. Serve with Coleslaw and KOO Hot and Spicy Chakalaka With Beans
