5 Ingredient Cheeseburger Pillows

These 5 ingredient Cheeseburger pillows are quick and easy to put together and make for a perfectly moreish weekend style snack.

3-4 ready made burger patties
½ cup burger mayo or bbq sauce
6 cheese slices, cut into quarters
Wonton wrappers
Oil for frying

Sauce of choice for serving


Cut each burger patty into quarters. Heat a glug of oil and cook the patties according to your liking.
Place a square of cheese onto a wonton wrapper. Add a burger patty, a tablespoon sauce and add another square of cheese. Dampen the edges of the wonton wrapper with water and add another wonton wrapper over the burger. Seal the edges with a fork and heat the oil. Fry until golden brown and serve with sauce of choice.

Chefs Tip:

You can use a ready made crumbed chicken patty for this recipe to make a chicken version or you could also make the burger patty mixture from scratch.
You can add as much or as little cheese as you want to these pillows and if you want to take it up a notch, add crispy bacon bits and pickles.
If you can’t find wonton wrappers, you could also use puff pastry.
