Braai Day Beef Stir Fry

Turn your weekend braai favourites into a sizzling beef noodle stir fry!

Ingredients:

For the marinade:

  • 4 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 4 Tbsp sweet chilli sauce
  • 1 garlic clove (chopped)
  • 1 Tbsp Chinese Five Spice
  • 1 tsp Muscovado sugar
  • 1 lime (juiced)
  • 3 Tbsp canola oil

For the stir fry:

  • Clover Olive Pride Non-stick Spray
  • 200g steak (thinly sliced)
  • 150g egg noodles (cooked)
  • 2 red peppers, (deseeded and thinly sliced)
  • 1 onion (thinly sliced)
  • Half cabbage, shredded finely
  • 3 Tbsp canola oil
  • Small bunch coriander (chopped)

How To Make Braai Day Beef and Pepper Stir Fry

  1. In a big bowl, make the marinade by placing all the ingredients and mixing well.
  2. For the stir fry, using a rolling pin, bash the steak to make it a little thinner and cut into thin slices. Put the steak into a large bowl and pour the marinade over.
  3. Leave to marinate while you cook the noodles in boiling water
    Spray the griddle pan with the Clover non-stick spray and heat on the stove over high heat until it reaches the correct temperature. Season the marinated steak with salt and pepper then cook. In a frying pan, heat the oil, fry the onions and pepper then add the cabbage.
  4. Transfer the steak into the veggies and add the already cooked noodles. Toss everything together to mix and heat through. Add the coriander and serve. Enjoy!
