Breakfast Bagel

Ingredients:

  • Olive oil
  • 1 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • 3 streaks bacon
  • 1 bagel, cut in half
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 2 slice Emmental cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 handful baby spinach

How To Make Breakfast Bagel

  1. Heat a large pan and drizzle a generous amount of oil.
  2. Add the onions and saute the onions on medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add the sugar and vinegar and cook the onions down until they are translucent and caramelized.
  4. Remove from the pan and set aside in a separate bowl. Drizzle a bit of oil in the same pan and add the bacon.
  5. Cook the bacon on both sides to your desired preference.
  6. Butter the bagel and toast in a separate pan. Once golden, turn the bagel around, add the cheese slices and cover with a lid to melt.
  7. Remove from the pan and set aside.
  8. Drizzle a bit of oil and fry a sunny side egg.
  9. Top the bagel with the baby spinach, bacon, sunny side egg and caramelized egg. Cover with the top bun and serve.
