Clover Krush Easter Spiced Orange Cake

300g flour
2 tsp baking powder
200g castor sugar
1 tsp ground all spice
1 tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp nutmeg
Zest of 1 orange
4 eggs
150ml oil
¼ cup Krush juice, orange flavor
1tsp vanilla essence

For the orange syrup
½ cup Krush juice, orange flavor
1 cup brown sugar

Icing sugar for dusting
Toasted coconut flakes for garnishing



Preheat the oven to 180C
In a bowl, beat together the eggs, oil, orange zest, Krush juice and vanilla essence.
In a separate mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, castor sugar and spices.
Add the wet ingredients into the dry and gently fold until combined. Pour batter into a greased springform tin and bake for 40-45 minutes, or until a skewer comes out clean.

Make the syrup by combining the Krush juice and sugar in a saucepot. Bring to a boil and simmer until the syrup thickens

Once the cake is baked, pour the syrup over to allow the cake to absorb the flavours. Dust with icing sugar once cooled. Serve with a refreshing Krush juice.

Chefs Tip: Be creative if you want to go the extra mile! Add candied orange peel and nuts into the cake, or use it to decorate.
