Ingredients:

  • 500ml warm water
  • 45ml sugar
  • 10g yeast
  • 45ml canola oil
  • 4 ½ cups flour

    4 Tbsp butter, melted
    2 garlic cloves
    Handful fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make Garlic Rolls

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Start by combining water & sugar in a large bowl, then stir in the yeast, salt & oil.
  2. Add in the flour and mix using a spoon until the well combined, then cover with plastic wrap and allow it rise for 20 – 30 minutes.
  3. Grease your hands with canola oil, divide the dough into portions and roll into balls, place the balls onto a greased baking tray, allow to rise for another 20 minutes, then bake for 30 minutes.
  4. Combine all the ingredients for the garlic butter in a separate bowl and mix until well combined, once the rolls are baked immediately brush with garlic butter and serve immediately.

  • 250ml self-rising flour
  • 10g yeast
  • Pinch of salt
  • 45ml sugar
  • 3 Tbsp margarine
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • ¼ cup canola oil
  • ½ cup milk, combined with 2
  • cups cold water & ½ cup boiling water
  • ¼ onion, grated
  • 1 cup mixed bells pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 – 4 chilies, finely chopped

How To Make Nana se Savoury Brood

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Add flour, yeast, sugar and salt into a large bowl.
  3. Mix well then rub in margarine, add in the beaten egg and oil, then add in the water mixture until you have a soft dough, then mix in the chopped vegetables and cheese, cover and allow it to rise until double in size.
  4. Grease a 30 x 10cm baking tin with oil.
  5. Transfer the risen dough into the prepared baking tin and allow it to rise for another 10 – 15 minutes. Bake for about 1 hour, once the bread is ready spread over a generous amount of butter and allow it to cool on a baking tray.

  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • pinch of salt
  • 4 bananas
  • 2 Tbsp margarine
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • ¼ cup oil

How To Make Banana Bread

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. Grease a loaf tin with margarine or with cooking spray.
  3. In a large bowl sift together all the dry ingredients and set aside.
  4. Mash the bananas and place into a separate bowl along with sugar, vanilla essence, oil and beat until well combined, then mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients, pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 1 hour until golden brown.
