How To Make Cheese Board
- For the spicy chutney biltong dip: Add all ingredients for the dip into a food processor and blitz until smooth.
- For the chutney onion topper: Heat oil in a pan, then add in onion and allow it to cook until translucent. Add in chutney and water, then allow it to simmer for 10 – 15 minutes over medium heat until slightly reduced & thickened. Season to taste with black pepper.
- To assemble the festive board: Spoon the dip & topper into serving bowls and place onto a large board. Arrange the cheese around the board – make sure to distribute it evenly. Place fruit next to the cheese. Fill in the empty spots with crackers, biltong and nuts.
- Garnish with a few sprigs of fresh rosemary and cherries. Enjoy!
Chefs Tip: For a spicier dip, add a dash of chili flakes or smoked paprika to complement the jalapeño chutney. Alternatively, mix in a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice for a tangy twist.
The onion topper can be made a day in advance and stored in an airtight container in the fridge.
