
Sushi Bowl

Ingredients:
- 1 cup sushi rice
- 1 ½ cups water
- 1 rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp sugar
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ cucumber, thinly sliced
- 1 medium avocado, sliced
- 1 small carrot, julienned or thinly sliced
- ½ cup edamame, cooked
- 200g salmon or tuna, thinly sliced or cubed
- Nori seaweed, cut into thin strips (optional)
To serve:
- Soy sauce
- Sesame seeds
How To Make a Sushi Bowl
- Start by preparing the rice, Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Drain well.
- Combine the rice and water in a pot and bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and cook for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is tender and the water is absorbed.
- In a small bowl, mix the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt until dissolved.
- When the rice is cooked, transfer it to a large bowl and drizzle the vinegar mixture over the rice.
- Gently fold the rice with a spatula to coat evenly.
- Let it cool slightly.
- Divide the seasoned rice among serving bowls.
- Arrange the cucumber slices, avocado slices, carrot, edamame, and salmon on top of the rice.
- Drizzle over soy sauce and sprinkle a generous amount of sesame seeds and enjoy!
