Bircher-Style Granola Bowl

Fresh, creamy, crunchy, and full of flavour, perfect for breakfast or a quick midday pick-me-up!

Ingredients:

  • 1½ cups Bokomo Nature’s Source Granola
  • 1 large apple peeled and coarsely grated
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (or plant-based alternative)
  • ½ cup milk (dairy or nut), plus extra if needed
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds (optional, for extra body)
  • Zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 tbsp honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • ¼ cup mixed berries (fresh or thawed frozen)
  • 2 tbsp Bokomo Nature’s Source Granola (topping/to serve)

How To Make Bircher-Style Granola Bowl

  1. In a medium bowl, stir together the yoghurt, milk, chia seeds (if using), lemon zest and honey/maple.
  2. Fold in the grated apple and mixed berries.
  3. Gently mix through the Nature’s Source Granola until everything is just coated—take care not to crush all the clusters.
  4. Let the bowl sit for 10–15 minutes at room temperature if you like the fruit and seeds to soften slightly—still very different from overnight oats.
  5. Top with extra berries, a drizzle of honey and Bokomo Nature’s Source Granola.
  6. Serve immediately.

Chefs Tip:
Fruit swap: Try grated pear, banana slices, or seasonal stone fruit like peaches or plums for a fresh twist. For a tropical version, add pineapple or mango chunks.
Extra protein: Swap half the milk for kefir, or stir in a scoop of unflavoured protein powder
