Bunny Chow Sliders
Bunny chow, but make it fun-sized!
Makes: 8
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Cooking time: 40 minutes
Ingredients:
- 500g beef or lamb mince
- 2 Tbsp oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh ginger, grated
- 2 green chilies, chopped
- 1 Tbsp curry powder
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tomatoes, grated
- 1 cup diced potatoes
- 1 cup vegetable stock
- Salt & pepper
- Fresh coriander, chopped
For the bread:
- 500g ready-made store-bought dough
- 8 tins, label removed & cleaned (baked bean tins)
- Spray & cook
To serve:
- Carrot salad
How To Make Bunny Chow Sliders
- Heat oil in a pan, add onions and cook until translucent.
- Add in garlic, ginger, chili and spices, allow this to cook until fragrant, then add in grated tomatoes and cook for a few minutes.
- Add in mince cook for about 5 minutes, top with water and allow it to cook for about 15 minutes on medium heat.
- Season with salt & pepper.
- Once the curry is ready, stir in chopped coriander.
- Spray the inside of the tins with cooking spray, portion the dough into 8 equal pieces, add a piece of dough into each greased tin, bake for about 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool in the dough.
- Remove bread from the tins, now hollow out the inside, spoon in mince curry, spoon over some carrot salad and top with bread tops.
