Buttery Steamed Bread

Soft and moist thanks to Clover Full Cream Butter Spread!


  • 4 Cups flour
  • 5g Instant yeast
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 tbslp Clover Full Cream Butter spread
  • 1 -2 cups luke warm water
  • Bread toppings of choice

How To Make Buttery Steamed Bread

  1. To the lukewarm water, add the sugar and yeast. Stir together and set aside.
  2. To the flour, add the salt and pour in the water mixture.
  3. Melt the butter and add it to the flour.
  4. Mix until well combined and start kneading the dough.
  5. If too dry, add more water. Knead until the dough is smooth and does not stick to your hands.
  6. Cover and place in a warm place.
  7. After the dough has risen, place into cups or bowls.
  8. Add water to a pot with a colander and place your cup or bowl on top of the colander.
  9. Allow to steam on high heat for 30 minutes.
  10. Once cooked through, slice and spread more Clover Full Cream butter and top with your desired toppings.
