B-well Canola Cooking Spray
¾ Cup Warm Water
1 ½ tsp dry yeast
2 tsp sugar
2 cups Flour
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
2 tsp garlic powder
1 cup fresh tomato sauce
8 slices of Mozzarella
½ cup grated parmesan
2 cups sliced pepperoni
Handful fresh basil

In a jug, add the warm water and dissolve the sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and allow to sit for a few minutes until the mixture has formed bubbles on the surface.
In a large bowl, add the flour and pour in the yeast water. Combine everything with a spatula just until everything is wet. Add the olive oil, seasoning and combine until a sticky dough forms. Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead for a few minutes, adding flour as needed until the dough is no longer sticky. Place the dough back in the bowl and cover with a damp cloth and allow to proof until doubled in size.
Once the dough its ready. Cut it into 8 equal pieces. Stretch one piece out into 10-12cm discs. Add a few tablespoons of sauce and spread out evenly, leaving 1-2cm space around the edge. Add a few pieces of pepperoni, followed by two slices of mozzarella and ¼ of the parmesan. Stretch out a second piece of dough and use this to cover the filling. Repeat the process until you have four portions.
Heat a waffle machine and spray the B-well Canola Cooking Spray. Place the pizza dough on, cover and cook until golden brown on both sides.
Serve with the remaining parmesan for dipping.

Chefs Tip:

  • You can also cheat this recipe by using store bought dough, then all you have to do is assemble and cook. That’s your cooking time cut in half!
  • Feel free to add any of your favourite pizza toppings to the filling such as mushrooms, peppers or pineapple
