Cheese and Chicken Fatayer

A delicious and comforting snack, made the easy way with Clover cheese slices!

  • 1kg ready-made bread dough
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup BBQ sauce
  • 2 cups shredded chicken
  • ½ cup chopped parsley
  • 1 red chili, chopped
  • 12 slices Clover Processed Cheddar Cheese
  • To serve:
  • Fresh parsley, chopped

How To Make Cheese and Chicken Fatayer

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C, line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Meanwhile prepare the filling in a large mixing bowl combine mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, chicken, parsley and chili, then season to taste with salt & pepper.
  3. Dust a clean work surface with flour, then divide the dough into 4 equal balls, roll the dough into a rectangular shape.
  4. Place the dough onto the prepared baking tray. Place two slices of cheese onto each piece of dough, then fold the dough over to cover the cheese pinching the ends.
  5. Top with the chicken mixture, then shape the dough into a oval shape and bake in the oven for 12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley.
  7. Enjoy!
