Cheese Puff Fried Chicken with Clover Authentikos Dip

Level up your crispy fried chicken game using cheese puffs!

Serves: 3-4
Time: 20 minutes


3-4 chicken breast fillets
Salt and pepper to taste
2 cups buttermilk
Juice of 1 lemon
1 packet cheese puffs, crushed into crumbs
1 cup cheese maize snack chips, crushed into crumbs
oil for deep frying

For the yoghurt ranch dip
1 cup Clover Authentikos, plain flavour
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp fresh or dried dill
Handful fresh parsley, chopped
Handful fresh chives, chopped
Juice of half lemon
Salt and pepper to taste


Make parallel cuts in each chicken breast, without slicing all the way through. Season with salt and pepper and place into a bowl. Pour over the buttermilk and lemon juice and mix together. Allow to marinate for at least 20 minutes.
Gently heat the oil. Dip the marinated chicken into the cheese puff crumbs until well coated. Fry in the heated oil until the chicken is cooked through. Alternatively bake in an airfryer at 180C until cooked through.
Mix together the ingredients for the yoghurt ranch dip. Drizzle over the chicken and serve.

Chefs Tip: This Clover Authentikos Ranch Dip would also work really well for a salad!
