Cheesy Pap Ball Christmas Tree

Ingredients:
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups water
- 2 t Benny chicken stock powder
- 1 cup ACE Quick Cook Maize Meal
- 2 t finely chopped parsley
- 2 eggs beaten
- 1 cup dry bread crumbs
- 200 g mozzarella, cut into small blocks
- oil for deep frying
- extra chopped parsley for serving
- KOO Mild & Spicy Chakalaka
How To Make
- Bring water, milk and stock powder to a boil.
- Slowly whisk in the ACE Quick Cook Maize Meal. Turn heat to low, continue whisking for 5 minutes or until pap is smooth and creamy. Add chopped parsley and stir well.
- Cook for another 5 minutes or until the right consistency is reached
Transfer into a bowl and allow to cool. - When completely cool, take a handful of pap, flatten it in the palm of your hand, place a block of mozzarella cheese in the centre and form the pap around the cheese to the size of a golf ball.
- Dip balls into beaten egg and then into bread crumbs. Deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
- On a platter pack the balls in a Christmas tree. Sprinkle with more parsley.
- Serve immediately with warm KOO Mild & Spicy Chakalaka.
