How To Make Chocolate French Toast Waffles
- Spread chocolate spread or melted chocolate on 4 of the waffles.
- Add sliced fruit, marshmallows if using.
- Top with the remaining waffles to make 4 sandwiches.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk or cream, vanilla, cinnamon, sugar (if using), and a pinch of salt.
- Dip each waffle sandwich into the egg mixture, coating both sides well but not
letting it soak too long to prevent sogginess. - Heat a little butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat.
- Cook each sandwich for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crisp.
- Transfer to plates, dust with icing sugar, drizzle with chocolate sauce, and pile on whipped cream, berries and chocolate shavings.
