Clover Classic Boerie Burger Jaffles

Whether its lunch, a snack or an easy dinner, nothing beats a Classic jaffle toastie. There’s more to jaffles than just cheese and beans and we’re reinventing the classic with our Boerie Burger jaffles, perfect for the braai.

Ingredients:

X6 bread slices
500g boerewors, meat removed from casing
Cheese slices
1 cup pickled japalepnos, sliced

For the Classic Burger sauce
1 cup Clover Classic Mayo, 1
¼ cup tomato sauce
¼ cup mustard sauce
1 tsp hot chilli sauce (optional)

Method:

To make the boerie patties, shape the boerwors mince into burger patties and cook to your liking. Set asde.

Mix together the ingredients for the classic mayo sauce
Butter the bread on the outsides and on the inside, place the boerie patty, cheese, jalapenos and mayo sauce. Enclose with another buttered slice of bread and and place into a jaffle iron. Place over hot coals or gas stove and cook until the bread has toasted. Serve warm with more Classic Mayo burger sauce.
