4 eggs, separated ¾ cup castor sugar 125 melted butter 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 ¾ cup flour 200ml Clover Classic custard 200ml milk 2 tbsp orange zest ½ cup orange juice Icing sugar for dusting
Method:
Preheat the oven to 170C. In a large mixing bowl, beat the egg yolks with the castor sugar until pale. Add the butter and vanilla essence and beat until combined. Fold in the flour, Classic Custard, milk, orange juice and zest and beat until combined. Beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form and fold the beaten egg whites through the custard mixture.
Pour the batter into a greased and lined baking tin and bake for 40-45 minutes until golden on top and slightly wobble. Allow to cool in tin, dust with icing sugar and slice into squares.
