Clover Elite Feta cheese, 3 discs 1 cup panko breadcrumbs 2 tbsp sesame seeds 1 tsp garlic powder 1 tbsp dried mixed herbs 1 tsp white pepper 1 egg, beaten ¼ cup oil for shallow frying
For the topping Juice and zest of 1 lemon 2 tbsp honey 1 tbsp chilli flakes Basil leaves for garnish
Method:
Combine the panko, sesame seeds, garlic powder, mixed herbs and white pepper into a bowl. Dip the feta into the beaten egg, then into the panko mixture and coat well. Heat oil in a frying pan and gently fry the feta until golden and crispy on all sides.
Top with a squeeze of lemon, honey, chilli flakes and garnish with basil leaves. Serve with crackers or toasted bread.
Chefs Tip: Add any toppings to the fried feta – try mixing in flavour of any pesto.
