The best thing about making your own treats at home is that you can make as much of it as you like and you can add your favorite things to make it 100% to your liking.
Serves: 6-8 Time: 20 minutes
Ingredients:
1 cup oats ½ cup flour ½ cup brown sugar 1 tsp baking powder pinch of salt ½ cup melted butter 1 large egg 1 tsp vanilla essence 1 cup dark chocolate chunks Caramel sauce
Method:
Preheat the oven to 180C
Line a square baking dish with baking paper. In a large mixing bowl, combine the oats, flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, butter, egg and vanilla. Mix together until well combined and stir in the chocolate chunks. Press half of the dough into the bottom of the baking tin. Drizzle the caramel sauce and crumble the rest of the dough on top of the caramel. Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes until cooked through. Allow to cool, slice and serve with a refreshing glass of Krush juice.
Chefs Tip: You can add any your favourite chocolate to these bars or even more textures like chopped nuts or coconut flakes.
