Tikka Fish Naan Bowls Recipe
Try this alternative to pickled fish this Easter!
Ingredients:
For the 2 ingredient naan
- 1 cup Clover Nolac dairy snack
- 1-2 cps Self raising flour
For the fish tikka
- 450g any white fish fillets, cubed
- 2 tbsp tikka/tandoori masala
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- ½ cup Clover Nolac dairy snack, plain flavour
- salt and pepper to taste
For the sauce
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- ¾ cup tomato puree
- salt and pepper to taste
- Clover Nolac milk
Fresh coriander to garnish
Thinly sliced red onion to serve
How To Make Tikka Fish Naan Bowls Recipe
- Prepare the tikka for the fish by combing the tikka masala, ginger and garlic paste, lemon juice, salt, pepper and Clover Nolac dairy snack.
- Place the cubed fish into the marinade for at least 20 minutes.
- Prepare the naan bread by combining the self-raising flour and Nolac dairy snack in a bowl.
- Form into a dough and add more flour if too sticky.
- Knead a few times and allow to rest.
- When ready to use, roll out and place into an oven-friendly bowl to bake in a bowl shape.
- Prepare the sauce by heating a glug of oil and sauté the onion for a few minutes.
- Add in the ginger and garlic paste, cumin, chilli powder, garam masala and tomato puree.
- Season with salt and pepper and allow to cook for a few minutes.
- Add the marinated fish into the sauce.
- Add a dash of Nolac milk to make the sauce creamy. Taste for seasoning.
- Serve the tikka fish in the naan bowl and serve with fresh coriander and thinly sliced onion.
