How To Make Chicken and Corn Soup

  1. Heat a splash of oil in a pot over medium heat and sauté the onion and celery until soft and fragrant.
  2. Add the garlic and chicken to the pot, season with salt and pepper, and cook until the chicken is lightly browned.
  3. If you’re using leftover braai chicken, just warm it through.
  4. Stir in the cream-style corn and let it simmer gently.
  5. In a separate jug, mix together the chicken stock, soup powder, and Ellis Brown until well combined, then pour this mixture into the pot.
  6. Stir everything together and allow the soup to simmer until thickened to your liking.
  7. Serve warm with toasted sourdough on the side for a hearty winter meal.
