Your valentines day menu

 

Ingredients:

  •  60 g icing sugar
  • 20 g citric acid
  • 15 g sodium bicarbonate
  • powder colour/ glitter
  • 12 marshmallows
  • 12 strawberries
  • 12 wooden skewers
  • Kraft paper or decorative wrapping
  • Pink Ribbon
  • Sherbet

How To Make a Marshmallow-Wrapped Strawberry Bouquet

For the sherbet

  1. In a clean, dry bowl, combine the citric acid, bicarbonate of soda, icing sugar and colouring.
  2. Store in an airtight container until use.

For the bouquet

  1. Gently insert each strawberry onto a skewer, keeping the fruit intact.
  2. Preheat a non-stick pan over low heat.
  3. Slowly drag a marshmallow down the center of the pan, allowing it to melt.
  4. Hold the strawberry skewer above the melted marshmallow, wrapping the fruit in the melted coating.
  5. Immediately dust with prepared sherbet.
  6. Repeat with the remaining strawberries.
  7. Tie the bottoms of the strawberry skewers together with ribbon and wrap in decorative paper to form a bouquet.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 block cream cheese (250g)
  • 1/3 cup white sugar
  • 2 egg
  • tsp vanilla
  • 1/2 cup chopped strawberries
  • Icing sugar for dusting

How To Make Strawberry Cheesecake Danish Hearts

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees
  2. For the cream cheese custard mix together cream cheese, white sugar, 1 egg, and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Place custard into a piping bag.
  4. Roll out puff pastry and lightly floured surface
  5. Cut out as many heart shapes as you can fit with your cookie
  6. Place hearts onto a lined baking sheet.
  7. Score the heart pastries with a slightly smaller heart cookie cutter or a knife.
  8. Pipe the cream cheese custard onto the heart pastry.
  9. Stay inside the line you just scored.
  10. Place fresh chopped strawberries on top of the custard.
  11. Brush edges with the remaining egg and sprinkle with some white sugar on top of each pastry.
  12. Bake for 22-24 minutes in the oven until golden brown.
  13. Sprinkle with icing sugar, serve warm and enjoy.

  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp flour
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder

How To Make Chocolate Lava Microwave Cake

  1. In a microwave-safe mug or ramekin, melt the chocolate and butter together in 20–30 second at a time, stirring until smooth.
  2. Stir in the sugar, then whisk in the egg until fully combined.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, and optional salt/vanilla.
  4. Mix gently until just combined.
  5. Microwave on high for 45–60 seconds.
  6. The edges should be set while the center remains molten.
  7. Enjoy straight from the mug or gently turn out onto a plate.
  8. Pair with ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries for extra indulgence.
