French Onion Tart Recipe
This french onion tart perfect for a starter or light meal with a green salad.
Serves: 6-8

Ingredients:
- 3 shallots, sliced into rounds
- ¼ cup olive oil
- ¼ cup balsamic reduction
- 2 tbsp fresh thyme
- 1 cup grated Clover Tussers cheese
- 200g pastry sheet
- Salt
- Pepper
- 1 egg, beaten
How To Make French Onion Tart
- Preheat the oven to 180C
- Cut the puff pastry in to 5x7cm rectangle, set aside.
- On a sheet pan lined with parchment paper, drizzle olive directly on the parchment paper covering a surface that’s a similar size to the puff pastry rectangle.
- Top with balsamic reduction, a bit of thyme, salt, pepper and cheese.
- Then cover with a puff pastry rectangle, pressing down the sides to tuck the filling.
- Repeat the process till the sheet pan is full.
- Brush the tops with egg wash and bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Flip them over, sprinkle over any remaining cheese and serve.
