Hot Cross Bun Pudding

Add in the new Beacon mmmMallows Hot Cross Bun flavoured marshmallows for an indulgent dessert!

Serves: 10-12
Time: 45 minutes


  • 8 hot cross buns, halved
  • 200g milk chocolate chips
  • 300ml milk
  • 250ml cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 4 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • 150g mmmMallows Hot Cross Bun Flavour
  • To serve:
  • Vanilla ice cream

How To Make Hot Cross Bun Pudding

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C and grease a large baking dish.
  2. Arrange the bottom halves of the hot cross buns in the baking dish.
  3. Sprinkle over the chocolate chips, spreading them evenly on each bun.
  4. Place the top buns on each bottom bun, sandwiching the chocolate layer.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, cream, eggs, sugar and vanilla essence.
  6. Pour the mixture over the hot cross buns and bake in the oven for 30 minutes.
  7. Remove from the oven, arrange the mmmMallows over hot cross buns and bake for a further 10 minutes or until the mallows are golden brown.
  8. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
