Hot Honey Chicken and HoneyGold® Skewers
A tantalizing combination of heat, sweetness, and citrusy goodness!

Serves: 4-6
Time: 1 hour
Ingredients:
- 700g Chicken thighs
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/3 cup honey
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 tbsp sriracha
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 2 tsp smoked paprika
- 2-3 HoneyGold® grapefruits
- 180g Mixed leaf salad
- 1 medium cucumber, ribboned
- Bamboo skewers, soaked
How To Make:
- Prepare a braai stand or grill pan.
- Cut each piece of chicken into four or half depending on the size. You want medium to large pieces.
- Place the chicken in a bowl, add the honey, olive oil, sriracha, ginger, paprika, salt and pepper.
- Zest a HoneyGold ® and add the zest to the chicken mixture.
- Toss to combine and allow the chicken to marinate for 20 minutes.
- In the meantime, cut the skins off the HoneyGold ® and then cut into medium sized pieces.
- Thread a piece of chicken onto a skewer, followed by a HoneyGold ® and repeat until have used up all the chicken.
- Grease the grill lightly then place the skewers on the grill.
- Grill on each side until cooked through. Brushing with the leftover marinade as they cook.
- Place salad leaves on a serving plate, topped with the cucumber ribbons.
- Once the skewers are ready, place on the salad and serve immediately.
