Smooth Yoghurt Scones

Perfect with jam & cheese!

Ingredients:

 

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 Tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1 cup Clover Smooth Low-Fat Yogurt 
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence

How To Make Scones

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°c and line a baking sheet with baking paper. 
  2. In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. 
  3. Add the cold butter and use a pastry cutter or your fingers to mix until the mixture becomes coarse crumbs. 
  4. Stir in the yogurt and vanilla extract until just combined. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and gently knead it a few times until it comes together. 
  5. Pat it into a circle about 2cm.Cut into a circle, use a biscuit cutter. Place on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until golden brown. 
  6. Allow to cool slightly before serving.
  7. Enjoy your scones!
