Triple Chocolate Mug Cake

Nothing says ‘I love you more’ than a decadent chocolate dessert

Ingredients:

  • 4 Tbsp cake flour
  • 2 Tbsp cocoa powder (unsweetened)
  • 2 Tbsp white sugar
  • 2 Tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3 Tbsp milk
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil (or melted butter)
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
  • 2 Tbsp dark chocolate chips
  • 2 Tbsp milk chocolate chips
  • 1 Tbsp white chocolate chunks

Optional topping:

  • Whipped cream
  • ice cream
  • chopped nuts
  • extra chocolate drizzle
  • berries

How To Make Triple Chocolate Mug Cake

  1. In a large, microwave-safe mug, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, both sugars, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Stir in the milk, oil, and vanilla essence until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Add dark, milk, and white chocolate pieces, reserving a few for the top.
  4. Lightly press the reserved pieces into the batter’s surface.
  5. Cook on high for 1 minute and 30 seconds to 2 minutes, depending on your microwave’s strength.
  6. The cake should rise and still look slightly gooey in the centre.
  7. Let it cool for 1–2 minutes, top with whipped cream or a drizzle of melted chocolate, and enjoy warm.
