Clem's Airfryer Braai Platter Recipe
Winter weather doesn’t always allow for an outside braai, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot have a Classic South African grill!
Serves: 6
Time: 50 minute
Ingredients:
- Free-range lamb rib chops 500g
Extra virgin olive oil spray - Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- Woolworths farm-style broerewors 1kg
- Woolworths smokey kasi sauce ¼ cup
- For the spicy jalapeno braaibroodjies:
- Woolworths white sandwich bread thins 6
- Cheddar 6 slice
- Woolworths sliced pickled jalapenos 6 T
- red onion 1, thinly sliced
- mozzarella 6 slices
- butter 3T, melted
- For the white BBQ sauce, mix:
- tangy mayonnaise ¾ cup
- Worcestershire sauce ¼ cup
- garlic powder 2 T
- red wine vinegar 3 T
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
How To Make Clem’s Airfryer Braai Platter
- Preheat the air-fryer to 180 degree celsius.
- Spray the lamb chops with olive oil and season.
- Cook in the air fryer for 7 minutes a side.
- Brush with the kasi sauce and cook for a further 5 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced.
- Remove from the air fryer and wrap in foil to keep warm.
- Cook the boerewors in the air fryer for 20 minutes turning halfway if the air fryer doesn’t circulate air to the bottom.
- Once cooked, keep warm while preparing the braaibroodjies.
- Place a slice of cheddar on 3 sandwich thins, then top with the jalapeno, red onion and mozzarella.
- Top with the remaining sandwich thins.
- Brush with butter and toast in the air-fryer for 5 minutes at 200 degree celsius.
- Serve the braaibroodjies with the chops, sausage and BBQ sauce.
