Ingredients:
- Clover Butro Non-Stick Cooking Spray
1 sheet of puff pastry (store-bought, thawed if frozen)
1/2 cup cherry preserves or cherry jam
1 tablespoon lemon juice (optional, for a slight tang)
1 tablespoon icing sugar (optional, for dusting)
1 egg (for egg wash)
1 tablespoon water (for egg wash)
How To Make Air Fryer Cherry Glazed Puff Pastry
- Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface and lightly spray your rolling pin or work surface with Clover Butro Cooking Spray to prevent sticking and infuse a delicious buttery flavour.
Cut the pastry with a cookie cutter or desired shapes (about 4-6 pieces, depending on size). In a small bowl, mix the cherry preserves (or jam) with lemon juice. Stir well to combine. If you prefer a thicker glaze, you can heat it in the microwave for 20-30 seconds to loosen it. In a small bowl, whisk together the egg and water to make an egg wash. Lightly brush the puff pastry pieces with the egg wash to give them a golden finish. Place about 1-2 teaspoons of the cherry glaze in the centre of each puff pastry piece. Preheat your air fryer to 175°C and lightly spray the air fryer basket with Clover Butro Cooking Spray. Place the pastry pieces in the air fryer basket in a single layer, ensuring there’s space between each piece. Cook for 8-10 minutes, or until the puff pastry is golden and crispy. Once cooked, remove the puff pastry from the air fryer and let them cool slightly. Drizzle any remaining cherry glaze over the top, or serve with a light dusting of icing sugar for an extra touch of sweetness. Serve and enjoy
