Boerewors Meatball Pasta
Where boerewors meets pasta perfection.

Serves: 3 -4
Ingredients:
- 400g boerewors (remove the casing)
- 2 -3 Tbsp olive oil
- 1 sprig thyme
- 2 – 3 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 can boerewors relish
- ¼ cup water
- 2 Tbsp fresh basil, chopped
- Salt, to taste
- ½ tsp sugar
- Cooked pasta of your choice
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- White cheddar cheese, grated for topping
How To Make Boerewors Meatball Pasta
- Remove the casing from the boerewors and roll the meat into small balls.
- Heat olive oil in a pan and fry the meatballs until golden and cooked through.
- Spoon off some of the excess oil left in the pan.
- In the same pan, add the thyme, garlic & chili. Sauté until fragrant
- Stir in the smoked paprika.
- Add the boerewors tomato relish and a little water.
- Mix in the basil, season with salt and add sugar.
- Simmer gently for 5 minutes.
- Add your cooked pasta and fresh parsley. Toss and cook for another 2 – 3 minutes.
- Top with grated white cheddar, cover and let the cheese melt over low heat.
