Burfee Biscuits
A twist on the classic with NESTLÉ KLIM!
Makes 45
Time: 25 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup (227g) margarine, softened
- ¼ cup vegetable oil
- ½ tin (190g) Nestlé Caramel Treat
- 1 cup Nestlé Kilm Full Cream Instant Milk Powder
- 2 cups cake flour
- 2 tbsp corn flour
- 1 tsp cardamom (elachi) powder
- To serve:
- almond flakes
How To Make
- Preheat the oven to 180°C and line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
- Add the softened margarine, vegetable oil and 4 tablespoons of the Nestlé Caramel Treat to a large mixing bowl.
- Use an electric whisk to beat the ingredients until light and fluffy.
- Once combined, add the Nestlé Kilm Full Cream Instant Milk Powder, cake flour, corn flour and cardamom powder, mix until a dough forms.
- Working quickly, divide the dough into 45 even-sized balls.
- Arrange the balls onto the prepared baking trays, then push your thumb into the center of each, creating a small pocket.
- Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
- Remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool. Spoon the remaining Caramel Treat into the center pocket of each biscuit and garnish with a sprinkling of flaky almonds.
- Serve the burfee biscuits on a platter and ENJOY!
