Burfee Biscuits

A twist on the classic with NESTLÉ KLIM!

  • 1 cup (227g) margarine, softened
  • ¼ cup vegetable oil
  • ½ tin (190g) Nestlé Caramel Treat
  • 1 cup Nestlé Kilm Full Cream Instant Milk Powder
  • 2 cups cake flour
  • 2 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp cardamom (elachi) powder
  • To serve:
  • almond flakes

How To Make 

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C and line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.
  2. Add the softened margarine, vegetable oil and 4 tablespoons of the Nestlé Caramel Treat to a large mixing bowl.
  3. Use an electric whisk to beat the ingredients until light and fluffy.
  4. Once combined, add the Nestlé Kilm Full Cream Instant Milk Powder, cake flour, corn flour and cardamom powder, mix until a dough forms.
  5. Working quickly, divide the dough into 45 even-sized balls.
  6. Arrange the balls onto the prepared baking trays, then push your thumb into the center of each, creating a small pocket.
  7. Bake the biscuits for 10-12 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
  8. Remove the biscuits from the oven and allow them to cool. Spoon the remaining Caramel Treat into the center pocket of each biscuit and garnish with a sprinkling of flaky almonds.
  9. Serve the burfee biscuits on a platter and ENJOY!
