
Butter Chicken
A warm, comforting, quick, and easy recipe. It’s all you need in a dish!

Ingredients:
- 500g boneless chicken (breast or thighs), cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp ginger, grated
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp paprika
- ½ tsp turmeric
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 cup tomato puree
- ½ cup cream
- Salt & pepper to taste
To serve:
- Coriander
- Basmati rice
- Roti
How To Make Butter Chicken
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until lightly golden.
- Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, add another tbsp of butter.
- Sauté onions until soft, then add garlic and ginger.
- Cook for a minute.
- Stir in garam masala, cumin, coriander, paprika, turmeric, and chili powder.
- Cook for 30 seconds to release flavours.
- Pour in the tomato puree, season with salt and pepper, and let it simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
- Add the cooked chicken back to the pan and pour in the cream.
- Simmer for another 5 minutes until the sauce is rich and creamy.
- Garnish with fresh coriander and serve with rice or naan.
