Cheesy Corn Bread

This is possibly the best braai side – ever!

Serves:  6-8
Time: 1 hour 15 minutes


  • 4 Cups self-raising flour
  • 100g grated Clover Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Clover Herbed Feta Wheels, crumbled
  • 1 Cup Clover Fresh Full Cream Milk
  • 1 tin (420g) Creamed Corn
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 3 Tbsp Clover Mooi River Salted Butter, melted
  • 2 Tbsp White sugar
  • 1 Tbsp finely chopped rosemary or dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp finely chopped thyme
  • 1½ tsp salt

How To Make:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C. Grease a large loaf tin with a good amount of non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Add the flour, sugar and salt together and mix well.
  3. Add the rosemary, thyme, feta and cheese.
  4. Combine the eggs and milk in a jug, then combine the two mixtures and add the creamed corn and stir until just combined.
  5. Pour the bread mixture into your prepared loaf tin. Brush the top with some extra melted butter if you wish.
  6. Bake for 40-60 minutes or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before removing from the loaf tin.
    Best served warm.
