Cheesy Saucy Rolls

The perfect side to any braai!

  • 1kg shop bought bread dough
  • 1 Cup Clover Fresh cream
  • 1 Cup Clover Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tin Chakalaka
  • 1 pkt vegetable or potato baking mix
  • Handful parsley, finely chopped
  • Salt & pepper, taste

How To Make:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C. Line a baking dish with some nonstick baking spray.
  2. Divide the bread dough into 9 to 12 portions, depending on the size rolls you want to serve.
  3. Place them in the baking dish, cover and allow to double in size.
  4. In a measuring jug, whisk together the Clover cream, parsley and veggie mix. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Pour the cream over the tolls and the spread the chakalaka evenly over the rolls as well as the cheese.
  6. Place the rolls into the oven and allow to bake for 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese has turned a golden brown and the rolls have baked through.
  7. Serve these rolls alongside you favourite braai items.
