Chocolate-Stuffed Croissant French Toast
If you thought croissants couldn’t get any more indulgent, think again..
Serves: 2 – 3
Ingredients:
- 3 large Woolies croissants
- Extra Creamy Milk Chocolate Lindt Chocolate, melted.
- 2 large eggs
- ½ cup milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- A pinch of salt
- Butter, for frying
Toppings
- Chuckles, crushed
- Fresh berries, sliced and whole
- Whipped cream
- Melted chocolate drizzle, left over from Lindt.
How To Make Chocolate-Stuffed Croissant French Toast
- Slice each croissant in half horizontally.
- Spread 2–3 tsp of melted chocolate spread inside each croissant, then close them up.
- In a shallow bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, vanilla, and a pinch of salt.
- Dip each stuffed croissant into the custard mixture, turning gently to coat both sides.
- Let them soak for about 15–20 seconds per side
- Heat a pan over medium heat and melt a bit of butter.
- Add the croissants and cook for 2–3 minutes per side, or until golden brown and heated through.
- The chocolate should be melty inside.
- Serve with fresh berries, whipped cream, crushed Chuckles and melted Chocolate.
