Cinnamon Swirl Flapjacks
A sweet, swirly twist on a breakfast classic!
Ingredients:
For the flapjacks:
- 4 Tbsp butter
- 2 Tbsp sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1¼ cup of flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 cup milk (may need more if batter is too thick)
- Cooking spray
- Clover Whipped cream can
- Blueberries and/or strawberries
- Golden syrup
For the filling:
- ⅓ cup butter (melted)
- ¾ cup sugar
- 1 Tbsp ground cinnamon
How To Make Cinnamon Swirl Flapjacks
- Prepare the filling first.
- In a medium bowl mix butter, sugar and cinnamon until well combined
- Scoop filling into a small piping bag and set aside. (you want it to rest and thicken)
- Prepare flapjack batter
- In a medium bowl cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add in vanilla extract & eggs 1 at a time
- Mix in dry ingredients alternating with slowly adding your milk
- Heat a non-stick pan on low heat.
- Spray with cooking spray
- Pour ¼ cup of batter into the pan
- Snip piping bag with cinnamon filling and squeeze a spiral of the filling on top of the flapjack
- When bubbles begin to appear on the surface flip carefully with a spatula and cook until golden brown.
- Make the rest of your flapjacks
- When ready serve with whipped cream, some berries and a drizzle of golden syrup
