Clover Bliss Spicy Grilled Chicken

In the comfort of your home you can make a juicy, spicy grilled chicken.

4-6 chicken pieces
2-3 habanero chilli peppers
1 tbsp thyme
1 tbsp curry powder
1 chicken seasoning stock cube or 2 tsp chicken spice
1 tbsp garlic and ginger paste
1 tbsp suya seasoning (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
Clover Bliss Double cream yoghurt, plain flavour


Place the chicken into a bowl and season with salt, pepper, thyme, chicken seasoning, garlic and ginger and suya seasoning if using. Prepare the marinade by placing the habanero peppers and a dollop of Clover Bliss double cream yoghurt into a blender and blend until the habaneros are finely blitzed.

Rub over chicken along with the spices and allow to marinade overnight or for at least 20 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 180C and grill the chicken in the oven for 30-35 minutes, or until cooked through. Baste with juice in the pan and serve with jollof rice and an extra serving of Clover Bliss yoghurt, for relief from the chilli.

Chefs Tip: For the best result, marinade the chicken overnight to get the juicy and tender result.
