Clover Classic Banana Bread Trifle

Sweet spot and easy for a scrumptious dessert  Sunday lunch enjoy a banana bread trifle.

Ingredients:

2 cups cream, whipped to stiff peaks
1 loaf banana bread, cut into cubes
2 knobs butter
2 apples, chopped into cubes
1 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp brown sugar
1 cup salted caramel sauce
2 cups Clover Classic custard
2 cups ready made apple flavoured jelly
Sliced apple for serving
Chopped nuts for serving (pecan or almonds)

Method:

Prepare the sautéed apple by melting the butter in a saucepan. Add in the chopped apple, sprinkle over the cinnamon and sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes and set aside.
Assemble the trifle by adding a layer of banana bread into the base of the serving dish. Top with caramel sauce, apple jelly , custard and half of the chopped apples.
Top with dollops of cream. Keep layering ending with the whipped cream. Garnish with sliced apple and chopped nuts.
