2 tbsp butter 1 onion, chopped 2 cloves garlic, crushed 500g beef/pork sausage meat removed from casing 100g portebellini mushrooms, chopped 1 cup chicken/beef stock 1 tsp dried rosemary 1 cup chopped tomatoes ½ cup Clover Fresh milk Salt and pepper to taste Handful chopped parsley for garnish Cooked Pasta/polenta for serving
Method:
Melt the butter in a large saucepan and sauté the onion. Stir in the garlic, sausage meat and mushrooms and cook for 1-2 minutes, then stir in the Clover Fresh milk and cook for a few minutes. Stir in the stock, rosemary and chopped tomatoes, stir to combine and simmer for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with parsley. Serve with pasta or polenta.
Chefs Tip: Adding milk to this recipe prevents it from being dry.
