How To Make Garlic knots

  1. Pre-heat the oven to 180-degree Celsius
In a medium jug, combine the water, half the sugar yeast, and stand for 2 minutes, allowing the yest to activate.
  2. In large mixing bowl, add flour, salt and the remaining sugar.
  3. Create a well in the center of the flour, pour in the activated yeast water into the center, mix until a smooth dough form.
  4. Make sure to chill your counter tops/working surface by using a Ziploc bag filled with ice, to ensure that the margarine in the dough does not melt.
  5. Make sure to wipe up any water left behind, before adding your flour/bread mix to your working surface.
  6. Add flour to your cooled working surface, on which you will be kneading the dough.
  7. Add in the Clover Mama Bake Margarin and knead the dough until smooth and soft. If the dough is too sticky, add flour in, a teaspoon at a time until the dough no longer sticks to your hands or the kneading surface.
  8. Pace the dough into a greased bowl, cover with plastic wrap, and place in a warm area, allowing the dough to rise, about (30-60minutes).
  9. Roll out the dough onto a floured work surface. Cut the dough into 3 cm strips, take one small strip of dough and tie it into a knot just like you would a piece of string, pinching off any excess.
  10. Repeat until you finish the dough. Place the knots on a lined baking sheet and allow the knots to proof for 20 minutes. Bake
the knots for 15-20 minutes until golden. In a large mixing bowl, combine melted Mama Bake Margarine, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper and parsley.
  11. Toss the knots in the mixture until well coated, sprinkle over parmesan cheese and place onto a serving dish.

Chefs Tip: Cut the dough into even strips, for even cooking.
